In many respects, the adult industry has gotten a bad name. Primarily because of their subject matter. I personally do not agree with blatantly portraying sex on the internet, but I feel that much could be learned from the way the adult industry works to make money on the internet. Visiting an adult site, you will find that they have only one goal, getting the customers credit card number. Every aspect of their site draws the visitor to the order form. If the visitor does not give their credit card number, they are whisked away to other sites that again offer the same strategy. I am not saying that your site should strive as hard as the adult industry to make a sale, but it should have a definite purpose. Every aspect of your site should work to move the visitor toward the end goal, whether that be a sale of a product of service, signing up with your newsletter, or other goal. Provide a way on every single page to achieve that goal. Through effective planning, you can achieve a remarkable success rate. On my site, I receive an 80% sign up rate to my newsletter because I offer a way to sign up on every single page. Through that newsletter, I can offer my visitors other products and services that derive income. This total strategy allows me the opportunity to maximize every single visitor. Should they decide to leave my page, I work very hard to control when and where they leave and place my affiliate partners at exit points. This allows me to create income from people leaving my site as well. When looking at your strategy, decide what you want your end goal to be and have every part of your site work toward that goal. Remove portions of your site that do not contribute to that goal. Work to maximize every visitor and your business will explode.
